Example Contextual and Navigational Data Maps

The two maps below demonstrate two approaches to including lengthy state-specific information. The top map displays “contextual” text below the map when you click on a state.  The actual text is included in a column in the source data file in HTML format.  (See example “contextual” template [XLS – 12 KB].)  The second map uses a URL column in the source data to direct the map user to another page when he or she clicks a state. (See example template with navigational URLs [XLS – 2 KB].)
