Combo Chart Fields
Label: Type a label for the axis.
Number of Ticks: Tick marks provide reference points on a scale. The general rule of thumb is to use them judiciously and avoid using them at odd intervals. Please note that the number entered is not always the number that is displayed. Factors such as space available and data may affect the exact number used.
Size (Width): This increases and decreases space available between the Value Axis and the Label, if used or the Legend if it is set Left.
Label Offset: Change the distance between the axis and the label to increase readability.
Add Commas: Commas can be added to large numbers to increase readability. Commas added into a data file may cause issues in the editor. Remove them from the data and select this option box to add them to the chart automatically.
Round to Decimal Point: Set the number of places to round the data to.
Prefix: Add characters before the data, such as $.
Suffix: Add characters after the data, such as %.
Hide Axis: Remove the axis line from the chart. Consider the chart’s interpretation by the user to guide this selection.
Hide Tick Labels: Remove the numeric labels from the tick marks. Consider the chart’s interpretation by the user to guide this selection.
Hide Ticks: Remove the tick lines from the axis. Consider the chart’s interpretation by the user to guide this selection.
Right Axis Max Value: This will extend the chart to allow values beyond the chart’s data values. (Example: If the data values are percent values out of 100, you can Update the Max value to “100”.)
Right Axis Min Value: This will extend the chart to allow values before the chart’s data values, including negative numbers.
