About these resources
As the overdose epidemic and drug landscape continue to evolve, we must take a practical, evidence-based approach to stopping overdose, saving lives, reducing risks and related harms, and removing barriers to effective interventions. This requires that we provide care and services that respect the health and dignity of people who use drugs through efforts that focus on prevention, harm reduction, evidence-based treatment, and recovery support.
The success of interventions depends on federal, state, and local governments working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, law enforcement, policy makers, employers, advocacy groups, and communities.
