Researchers can access restricted 2023 NAMCS data through the Research Data Center at the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).
Provider Survey Component
Restricted data
Researchers can access restricted 2023 NAMCS Provider Survey Component data through the NCHS Research Data Center. Note that 2023 was considered a pilot year for the NAMCS Provider Survey Component. Consequently, these data are unweighted and will not allow for national estimates. No visit-level data were collected in 2023; only provider-level data are available. Two files are available—one for office-based physicians and one for physician associates.
