Museum Re-Opening

The David J. Sencer CDC Museum will re-open with new visitation protocols on January 2nd, 2026. All visitors must make advanced reservations.  Walk-in visits are no longer permitted.

The following information is required while making reservations:

  • Visitors to provide first, middle, and last name

Visitors 18 and over will also need to submit:

  • Date of birth
  • Citizenship (Select U.S. or non-U.S. citizen)
  • Government-issued valid (not expired) REAL ID number or passport number

Bring confirmation email(s) for museum visit.

Monday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. -4 p.m.
Closed weekends & federal holidays

Reservations are required for all visitors.

On the day of visit, all approved, pre-registered guests must bring their reservation and government-issued valid identification (not expired) to the museum/CDC’s campus to gain entry. REAL ID is required for entry for all adults (over 18).

  • Driver’s license or state-issued photo identification card
  • Passport (required for non-US citizens)

Ride Share
Follow signs to drop-off point on CDC Parkway.

Bus / Train
For the most up-to-date transit stop and schedule information, please visit the MARTA website. Follow signs to visitor entrance upon arrival.

Parking

Parking is free at the CDC Museum. Please follow “Visitor” signs and veer right upon entering CDC Parkway (our driveway off Clifton).

Small Vehicles
Small vehicles will be inspected at the guard station before parking. Parking deck clearance is 8 feet, 5 inches.

Buses
Buses will be directed to wait in the far-right entry lane and cannot proceed through security gates. Group members will exit the bus and walk through the security gates to the museum entry.

Prohibited Items
Weapons (including but not limited to firearms, pepper spray, and knives) are prohibited on CDC’s campus. Visitors with weapons in their cars will be required to park off campus. Large bags are also prohibited.

With the exception of necessary medical equipment or diaper bags, all large bags, backpacks, and bags or purses larger than 13 x 13 inches cannot be brought into the museum. All small purses or bags will be searched and scanned by CDC security.
