RI All-Payer Claims Database 2017; RI Zip-Code Geocode
The Rhode Island All-Payer Claims Database was used to calculate the 2017 breast cancer screening rates for the two populations (commercially insured and those covered by Medicaid and Medicare) by ZIP code. These rates were linked to ZIP code tabulation areas (ZCTAs).
This map will be used by the RI Women’s Cancer Screening Program, Comprehensive Cancer, and Cancer Registry Programs to inform the development and implementation of interventions to address this disparity. This work will include partnering with health plans, employers, health systems, and community-based organizations to address this issue.
