The drive-time service area was ascertained using a GIS spatial analysis of facility locations and a networked dataset for roads and transportation. Population Weighted Centroids (PWC) were used to accurately reflect the distribution of people living in large, sparsely populated census areas; census tract population data was aggregated at PWC to spatially analyze the population of people ages over 65 years, living within the drive-time service area.

The map will inform DPHHS stakeholders and the public about the coverage of mechanic thrombectomy for stroke care across Montana; it will be available on the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (MTDPHHS) Map Gallery, the MTDPPHS Stroke Story Map, and the CDC Chronic Disease Map Gallery.
