Common Fields
(Numerator) Data Column: This drop-down allows you to select the column that has the numbers you want to calculate. For Gauge and Waffle charts, this field sets the numerator.
(Numerator) Data Function: Select the mathematical function to apply to the numbers you’ve targeted. This calculation occurs natively within the module itself. Options are Count, Max, Mean (Average), Median, Min, Mode, Range, Sum. For Gauge and Waffle charts, this field sets the function of the numerator.
Prefix: Add characters before the data, such as $.
Suffix: Add characters after the data, such as %.
Round: Set the number of places to round the data to.
Add Filter: Click the button to add a filter to your visualization. This filter is static.
- Column: Select the column to filter on.
- Column Value: Select the value to filter on.
Data Bite Specific Fields
Add Commas: Add commas to numbers greater than 3 digits.
Ignore Zeros: Ignore any zeros in the dataset when calculating the number. For example, you have 10 data points and 3 of them are zero. You want to display the Count, so you check this box to have the Count display 7.
Gauge and Waffle Specific Fields
Numerator Data Conditional: Column selections are generated by the headers in your data. Select the data column, the qualifier, and the value you want to reference.
Select from Data: Check box to calculate the denominator from the data rather than a set number.
(Number): For denominators not selected from the data. Defaults to 100, set the denominator to a static number.
Denominator - Data Column: This drop-down allows you to select the column that has the numbers you want to calculate.
Denominator - Data Function: Select the mathematical function to apply to the numbers you’ve targeted. This calculation occurs natively within the module itself. Options are Count, Max, Mean (Average), Median, Min, Mode, Range, Sum.
Value Descriptor: Gauge chart only. Customize the words that follow the data. Defaults to "out of".
Show Percentage: Gauge chart only. Check to put a percent sign after the data.
Show Denominator: Gauge chart only. Check to show the number of the denominator following the value descriptor.
