Public-use data
The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) provides publicly available data files from its health surveys and the vital statistics system. These public-use datasets do not contain sensitive information that could identify participants or institutions.
Researchers can use these public datasets for their own analysis and research without working through the Research Data Center. You do not need to submit an application to use these data. You should review the NCHS Data User Agreement before accessing these files.
