National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey Data Linkages
NCHS has conducted linkages between the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) Health Center (HC) Component data and mortality information from the National Death Index (NDI), and administrative housing assistance program participation data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The NAMCS HC Component collects electronic health record (EHR) information for all patient visits occurring in participating federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) to describe patterns of health care delivery and utilization in FQHCs. The linked data expand the analytic utility of the NAMCS HC Component data and provide the data resources needed to conduct a vast array of studies focused on the associations between health conditions, health care utilization, housing support, and mortality.
The linked datasets were created with support from the Office of the Secretary Patient Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund (OS-PCORTF).
For information on NAMCS HC Component data, please visit their webpage.
