What is a Wellness Champion

Work@Health Wellness Champions are organizations or employers who actively promote the Work@Health program within their networks. The Work@Health program provides expert training, technical assistance, and support to employers nationwide who want to create effective worksite health programs.

Examples of Wellness Champions include:

  • Health departments.
  • Business coalitions.
  • Professional associations.
  • Public health-based non-profits.
  • Trade associations.

What Wellness Champions do

Work@Health Wellness Champions use their networks to spread the word about the program to employers and professionals who want to become Work@Health certified trainers.

They work to:

  • Promote the Work@Health program to their network members and potential participants.
  • Appoint a point of contact responsible for coordinating the program’s promotion.
  • Assist the program team with follow-up activities.
