Jurisdiction Scheduling Stand-Alone Clinic Set-up

What to know

Jurisdiction Points of Contact can make clinics in their jurisdiction available for the scheduling-only clinic service type.

Step 1: Setting up Scheduling Stand-Alone Clinic

  • Select the Manage Clinic tab and select the Add Clinic Button.
  • Enter the Clinic Point of Contact Information as requested, then click Next to proceed.
  • Enter the Clinic Information as requested. Under Clinic Services, select Scheduling Only from the drop-down menu. Enter remaining Requested Information and click Next.
  • Review the information provided for Clinic Point of Contact and Clinic Information to ensure it is accurate and select Next.
  • VAMS will display a confirmation message stating that your clinic has been created in the system. The clinic point of contact will receive an email to register and activate the clinic.
  • Clinic Administrators should follow existing steps to proceed with clinic registration in VAMS.
  • Once registered, VAMS will display a message confirming the clinic has been activated and direct you to complete set-up by defining clinic operating hours and days, appointment durations, treatment stations, and by enabling scheduling at that clinic location.

NOTE:

  • To convert an already existing clinic to a scheduling stand-alone clinic, reach out to your VAMS Jurisdiction point of contact. Only VAMS Jurisdiction point of contact can convert existing clinics into scheduling stand-alone clinics.
  • If a clinic is set up as a scheduling stand-alone clinic, VAMS will flag the clinic as scheduling only and vaccinations will not be permitted at the clinic location.
  • Vaccination logging functionality will not be permitted at scheduling stand-alone clinics.
