Implementing a Blitz
Effective message delivery depends on creating a good strategic dissemination plan. Good strategy includes use of multiple communication channels, consistent message delivery, and message repetition.
Depending on the audience, there may be many message channels available to you including staff meetings, organizational intranet, facility displays, and internal mailings. The more channels you use, the more likely you are to reach your audience. Each channel has its own strengths and weaknesses as well as audiences. Identify your audiences and then determine which channels are most appropriate for communicating the message of your blitz and addressing the preferences of your target audience.
This Sample Blitz Outline and Sample Blitz Outline in PDF format provides a sample 4-week safety blitz illustrating a typical schedule for preparing for the blitz, creating weekly messages, implementing weekly activities that reinforce the messages, and evaluating the campaign.
