This page provides user notices issued by approval holders and industry partners. User notices are written notices provided to inform users of a condition or risk that may exist with a NIOSH Approved® product. NIOSH has reviewed and concurs with the facts in the below user notices.

User notices
- October 2025 - User Notice: Draeger PSS 5000 and 7000 Series Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) may have electronic control units (ECU) not initiating properly
- July 2025 - Voluntary Rescission of Four Kimberly-Clark Corporation NIOSH Respirator Approvals – No Impact to O&M Halyard Respirators
- June 2025 – User Notice: 3M Personal Safety Division is issuing a “Stop Use and Action” for the optional 3M™ Scott™ UEBSS connections on any 3M™ Scott™ Air[1]Pak™ SCBA equipped with UEBSS, and 3M™ Scott™ RIT-Pak III, RIT-Pak Fast Attack, and spare components configured with Rectus-type fittings manufactured through January 31, 2025.
- February 2025 – User Notice: MSA is issuing this User Inspection Advisory to inform of a one-time inspection procedure to be performed on all Universal Emergency Breathing Supply Systems (UEBSSs) manufactured prior to January 23, 2025.
