The World Health Organization Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC) is a global system for standardizing clinical documentation. It has Collaborating Centres across the world.
The Collaborating Centre for the United States of America (USACC) promotes the development and use of the WHO-FIC classification system. USACC is housed in CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).
Staff within NCHS support specific activities of USACC as part of their responsibilities. These include classification, standardization, and statistics.
