The United States of America Collaborating Centre (USACC) is part of the World Health Organization (WHO) Family of International Classifications (FIC). USACC promotes and supports use of the WHO Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC).
Mission
USACC
- Assists the World Health Organization (WHO) in developing, maintaining, and revising the WHO-FIC International Classification of Diseases (ICD), and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
- Participates in WHO Committees and Reference Groups to support global work
- Networks with, supports, and provides information for users
- Develops and shares teaching and training materials about WHO-FIC classifications.
- Improves the level and quality of WHO-FIC classifications
USACC's work
The United States of America Collaborating Centre (USACC) supports the World Health Organization (WHO) in providing, using, and improving the WHO Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC). USACC's efforts include promoting the development and use of these health information standards.
WHO-FIC includes the International Classification of Diseases, International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health, and other related classifications.
