Proper vaccine storage and handling practices play a very important role in protecting individuals and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Shingrix (recombinant zoster vaccine) must be stored in the refrigerator. The vaccine should be administered immediately after reconstitution or stored in the refrigerator and used within 6 hours. Do not freeze Shingrix. Discard if the vaccine has been frozen.
