This table describes the number of cases of tuberculosis (TB) disease with the following non-HIV medical risk factors: diabetes, post-organ transplantation, TNF-a inhibitors, end-state renal disease, viral hepatitis, or other immunocompromised condition or therapy by U.S. reporting area in 2023.

Key Highlights

  • In 2024, non-HIV medical risk factors reported for persons with TB were diabetes (22%), non-HIV immunosuppression (6%), viral hepatitis (3%), end-stage renal disease (2%), treatment with a TNF-alpha inhibitor (2%), and post-organ transplantation (1%).
