This table describes the number of cases of tuberculosis disease by initial drug regimen in the United States from 1993 to 2024.

Key Highlights

  • In 2024, 95% of persons with TB disease were initially started on a CDC recommended regimen or another multi-drug regimen that contained at least four drugs.
  • The percentage of persons with TB disease that were initially started on a newer 4-month regimen that includes isoniazid, rifapentine, moxifloxacin, and pyrazinamide (HPMZ) increased from 2023 to 2024.
