This table reports the number of cases of tuberculosis (TB) disease by age group and U.S. reporting area in 2024.

Key Highlights

  • Nationally, 84% of TB cases in 2024 were reported among adults at least 25 years old; children under 5 years of age accounted for 3% of all TB cases.
  • Notable differences from national percentages were observed, including children ages 0–14 accounting for >20% of all cases in Arkansas, American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
