The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services designated the U.S. National Authority for Containment (NAC) in January 2018. The NAC is responsible for ensuring the requirements established in the Global Action Plan (GAP) are effectively implemented and maintained in facilities retaining poliovirus materials.
