
Food Service Directors’ Knowledge and Beliefs About Ultraprocessed Foods in California’s San Joaquin Valley Schools

Flow diagram shows 185 San Joaquin Valley school districts stratified by rural/urban locale and receipt of a Freshly Prepared Meals grant: 21 urban/no grant, 38 urban/grant, 71 rural/no grant, and 55 rural/grant. Districts were randomly ranked; 43 FSDs were contacted (12 urban/no grant, 10 urban/grant, 11 rural/no grant, 10 rural/grant), and 20 participated (4 urban/no grant, 6 urban/grant, 6 rural/no grant, 4 rural/grant).
