Call for Papers: Exploring the Impact of Nutrition on Child Health and Development

Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) invites researchers, evaluators, practitioners, and educators to submit manuscripts for an upcoming collection focusing on nutrition and children. PCD seeks submissions that focus on evidence-based public health and clinical approaches examining the relationship between nutrition and child health, encompassing physical, emotional, psychological, and social aspects. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Nutritional interventions and their effectiveness in childhood
  • Prevention and management of obesity in children
  • Dietary guidelines for infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents
  • The role of schools and families in promoting healthy eating habits
  • Micronutrient deficiencies and their impact on growth
  • Nutritional needs for children with chronic illnesses or disabilities
  • Nutrition education programs and their outcomes
  • Cultural influences on food choices and nutrition in children
  • Innovative methods for assessing nutrition in children

 

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted to PCD on or before February 12, 2027. Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed and, if accepted, published on a rolling basis. Once all accepted manuscripts have been published, they will be compiled into a PDF collection accessible on the PCD website. Manuscripts must adhere to PCD’s Types of Articles instructions and will undergo the journal’s standard review processes.
