Epichlorohydrin is an organochlorine compound and an epoxide used primarily as a chemical intermediate in the production of epoxy resins and glycerol; it is also applied as a raw material for the manufacturing of glycerol and glycidol derivatives used as plasticizers, stabilizers, solvents, dyestuff intermediates, and pharmaceuticals.
