A public meeting was held on May 4, 2007, at the Holiday Inn Capitol, Washington, DC, as a forum for scientists and representatives of government agencies, industry, labor, and other stakeholders to comment on the draft document, “Asbestos and Other Mineral Fibers: A Roadmap for Scientific Research.” Comments received on the draft document were considered by NIOSH in preparing the draft Current Intelligence Bulletin (CIB) Asbestos Fibers and Other Elongated Mineral Particles: State of the Science and Roadmap for Research.
