HAI Pathogens and Antimicrobial Resistance Report 2018-2021

NHSN’s HAI Pathogens and Antimicrobial Resistance Report provides a national snapshot of common HAI pathogens in U.S. inpatient healthcare facilities and includes national benchmark values for antimicrobial resistance (AR) across 8 urgent and serious drug-resistant phenotypes. Data for this report were collected from CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Device- and Procedure-associated Modules of the Patient Safety Component from 2018 through 2021. Prior iterations of this report were published as manuscripts and are available on the NHSN HAI Pathogens and Antimicrobial Resistance Reports webpage.
