Immunization information systems (IIS) are confidential, population-based, computerized databases that record all immunization doses administered by participating providers to persons residing within a given geopolitical area. This information details how to access immunization records for vaccine recipients who received a vaccine in Micronesia.

General Information

Micronesia’s IIS is called WebIZ, and it includes immunization records for vaccine recipients of all ages.

Child Consent to Participate

For children, WebIZ requires mandatory inclusion by operational policy. Children are included in the IIS with no possibility for their parent(s)/guardian(s) to opt them out.

Adult Consent to Participate

For adults, WebIZ requires mandatory inclusion by operational policy. Adults are included in the IIS with no possibility to opt out.

Provider Reporting

The Federated States of Micronesia does have a mandate for vaccination providers to report immunizations to WebIZ. The reporting mandate:

  • Mandates universal reporting by operational policy.

Data Sharing

The Federated States of Micronesia has no data sharing restrictions with Public Health Entities.
