What to know

Immunization information systems (IIS) are confidential, population-based, computerized databases that record all immunization doses administered by participating providers to persons residing within a given geopolitical area. This information details how to access immunization records for vaccine recipients who received a vaccine in Arkansas.

Arkansas's IIS is called WebIZ, and it includes immunization records for vaccine recipients of all ages. Visit this webpage to learn more about the IIS.

The jurisdiction is authorized by law to operate WebIZ. For more information, please see Arkansas Code Annotated § 20-15-1202(a)(1) and § 20-15-1202(c).

Child Consent to Participate

For children, WebIZ requires implicit consent with opt-out by law. Children are included in the IIS unless their parent(s)/guardian(s) choose to opt them out.

Adult Consent to Participate

For adults, WebIZ requires implicit consent with opt-out by law. Adults are included in the IIS unless they choose to opt out.

Provider Reporting

Arkansas does have a mandate for vaccination providers to report immunizations to WebIZ. The reporting mandate:

  • Applies only to a subset of vaccine recipients.
