What to know

Immunization information systems (IIS) are confidential, population-based, computerized databases that record all immunization doses administered by participating providers to persons residing within a given geopolitical area. This information details how to access immunization records for vaccine recipients who received a vaccine in Alaska.

General Information

Alaska's IIS is called VacTrAK, and it includes immunization records for vaccine recipients of all ages. Visit this webpage to learn more about the IIS.

Child Consent to Participate

For children, VacTrAK requires mandatory inclusion by law by law. Children are included in the IIS with no possibility for their parent(s)/guardian(s) to opt them out.

The child consent policy is based on alignment with the jurisdiction's provider reporting mandate.

Adult Consent to Participate

For adults, VacTrAK requires mandatory inclusion by law. Adults are included in the IIS with no possibility to opt out.
