Who can participate

Program Description
CDC Museum Disease Detective Camp A fast paced, academically demanding program where students learn about public health at CDC’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Participants are expected to fully immerse themselves, work together, and become a diverse team of disease detectives!

Open To
Admission is open to high-school students during the summer before their junior or senior years and they must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the camp session to which they are accepted.

CDC Museum Public Health Academy Online Summer Course Participants learn the fundamentals of CDC’s work, the field of public health, the science of epidemiology and so much more through a web-based course.

NCHS Data Detectives Camp The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) Data Detectives Camp is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) camp that focuses on statistics for rising 6th and 7th grade students.

Student Worksite Experience Program (SWEP) A volunteer program offering opportunities to gain practical experience by engaging in projects and tasks that contribute to professional development. Student volunteers are an important part of recruiting and developing skilled workers, and preparing the workforce of the future.
