Geographic Patterns: Counties with the highest percentage of the population under age 65 without health insurance in 2019 were located primarily in Alaska, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Pockets of high-rate counties are also found in North Carolina, Kansas, South Dakota, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Arizona. The range in the percentage without health insurance was between 2.4% and 35.8%.
