Details about CDC's upcoming site visit

CDC's Dental Public Health Residency Program will be visited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on February 25, 2025, in accordance with the Commission's policies for periodic evaluation of accredited programs.

The Commission is accepting comments about the program's adherence to the Accreditation Standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Dental Public Health. We invite communities of interest and the public, such as faculty, students, program administrators, specialty and dental-related organizations, and consumers to provide their comments about the performance of this program directly to the Commission by December 25, 2024. The third-party comments will be used to assess the program's qualifications for accreditation. In addition, the comments help the program ensure that it complies with the accreditation standards for the discipline and the required accreditation policies.

Comments must pertain only to the standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Dental Public Health or policies and procedures used in the accreditation process. Comments will be screened by Commission staff for relevance. Signed or unsigned comments will be considered. If your comment is not relevant to these issues, you will be notified and, where appropriate, referred to the appropriate agency. All relevant comments will have names or signatures removed and will then be referred to the program at least 50 days before the site visit for review and response.

See the 2025 Accreditation Standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Dental Public Health. You can get a copy of the Commission's policy on third-party comments by calling (312) 440-4653 or emailing coda@ada.org.
