A map of Texas shows 7 geographic regions. Region 1 has 25,911 FQHC patients without up-to-date screening; Region 2 has 37,378; Region 3 has 48,248; Region 4 has 23,426; Region 5 has 25,418; Region 6 has 27,566; and Region 7 has 27,639. Some areas in Texas, especially in the western part of the state, are not included in a region. The map also shows the location of FQHC administrative offices throughout the state. These offices are categorized into the following 4 groups according to the number of FQHC patients without up-to-date screening: 332–2,000 patients; 2,001–4,000 patients; 4,001–8,000 patients; and 8,001-15,000 patients.
Figure.
Regionalization of age-eligible patients (aged 50–74 y) without up-to-date colorectal cancer screening served by federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in Texas in 2020. Uncolored areas were not covered by FQHCs in 2020. Circles indicate the county locations of FQHC administrative offices and are scaled to represent the number of age-eligible FQHC patients without up-to-date screening.
