Many companies have recalled whole fresh cucumbers grown by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. in Sonora, Mexico. In addition, companies have recalled sliced cucumbers or foods made with cucumbers like wraps and salads in some states. Check the new recall table to see if you have recalled cucumbers.

  • Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°F

  • Bloody diarrhea
  • So much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids down
  • Signs of dehydration, such as:
  • Not peeing much
  • Dry mouth and throat
  • Feeling dizzy when standing up

What businesses should do

  • Do not sell or serve recalled cucumbers grown by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. in Sonora, Mexico, including recalled cucumbers from SunFed Produce, Baloian Farms, or Russ Davis.
  • Recalled cucumbers were packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled with the SunFed or Pamela label, in a generic white box or black plastic crate with a sticker that says Agrotato, S.A. de C.V, or in clear plastic packages of various sizes with a 7-digit lot code beginning with "X".
  • Wash and sanitize items and surfaces that may have come in contact with recalled cucumbers.
  • Notify customers who purchased recalled cucumbers or foods made with them.

Symptoms of Salmonella

  • Most people infected with Salmonella experience diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.
  • Symptoms usually start 6 hours to 6 days after swallowing the bacteria.
  • Most people recover without treatment after 4 to 7 days.
  • Some people—especially children younger than 5 years, adults 65 years and older, and people with weakened immune systems—may experience more severe illnesses that require medical treatment or hospitalization.
