The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Director for Mining. Please see this General Engineering listing or this General Health Science listing for detailed information. The Associate Director for Mining is responsible for managing, directing, coordinating, overseeing, and evaluating all activities of the Institute's mining programs, and providing leadership and guidance for the Directors of the Pittsburgh Mining Research Division (PMRD) and the Spokane Mining Research Division (SMRD). This position serves as a Special Advisor to the Institute Director on all matters related to the overall NIOSH Mining Programs.

This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, of those who owe allegiance to the U.S. No previous federal experience is required. This is an Excepted Service position under Title 42. Applications will be accepted from all groups of qualified persons including Public Health Service Commissioned Corps officers.

The position may be in Washington, District of Columbia; Atlanta, Georgia; Cincinnati, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; or Spokane, Washington. The duty location will be determined upon selection. Relocation is negotiable.
