Summary
CDC is recruiting exceptional candidates for the position of Director of the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP).
The NCHHSTP Director provides executive leadership and strategic direction for CDC's national programs focused on the prevention, control, and elimination of HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and tuberculosis. This is a critical leadership role for CDC and for the public health work carried forward with partners across the country and around the world.
The Center leads a broad, high-impact portfolio spanning surveillance, prevention, diagnosis, testing, research, evaluation, policy, communications, and partnerships, supported by innovative laboratory capabilities and nationally recognized scientific expertise.
The Director is responsible for guiding scientific, public health, and operational strategies; establishing long-range goals and priorities; providing oversight and support for a multidisciplinary workforce; and supporting complex programs designed to improve health outcomes and strengthen public health systems.
