Why an HBCU?
I wanted to be challenged academically and intellectually and be among other African American women with the same desires.

How did it shape you?
All that I am today—the confidence, the perseverance, and the can-do mentality—is owed to my alma mater.

Most significant memory?
Nothing is more memorable than homecomings and socializing with my friends and sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Inc.
