Tiffany Brunson, PhD, JD
Dr. Tiffany Brunson, PhD, JD currently serves as a lead Health Scientist and the Acting Senior Advisor for Strategy and Evaluation within the Office of Science at the National Center for Immunization & Respiratory Diseases at the CDC. With over 15 years of experience in science and public health, Dr. Brunson has built expertise in the fields of scientific evaluations, legislative & policy analysis, and partnership development & outreach.
In her current role, Dr. Brunson is responsible for leading the development of strategies related to laboratory science, policy, communications, and diversity & equity. Her work focuses on high priority items that impact public health and requires coordination across multiple stakeholders and agencies.
Dr. Brunson earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, followed by a PhD in biomedical science from Morehouse School of Medicine. She then went on to earn a J.D. in administrative law from John Marshall Law School.
In her spare time, Dr. Brunson takes pleasure in comedy, movies, and music. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children, engaging in impromptu dance sessions, Disney sing-alongs, and weekend soccer games. Dr. Brunson’s passions include mentoring and applying her knowledge to enhance public health outcomes and effect positive change in her community.
