A study recently published in CDC's MMWR, Nonfatal and Fatal Falls Among Adults Aged ≥65—United States, 2020–2021, found about 14 million (28%) older adults reported falling during the past year (2020) and nearly 39,000 older adults died due to unintentional falls (2021).
