What to know
- CDC has updated data tables in the Report to reflect revised NHANES Biospecimen Program data files.
- The updated estimates for total population, sex, age, and race/Hispanic origin subgroups are within the 95% confidence limit of estimates calculated using the original file and sample weights.
- The updated data tables include various biomonitoring measurements.
Update to Tables Associated with Revised NHANES Biospecimen Program Data Files
In 2021 and 2022, CDC's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) Biospecimen Program processes were reevaluated to monitor quality control after a procedural error was identified. Following a comprehensive review of all surplus sample datasets generated between 1999 and 2018, NHANES modified certain data files to remove records that were initially included in error and did not meet program standards. The revised files were released in April 2022.
Per NHANES, the updated estimates for total population as well as sex, age, and race/Hispanic origin subgroups are within the 95% confidence limit of estimates calculated using the original file and sample weights.
CDC has updated data tables in its National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals to reflect the revised data files listed below. Additional information can be found by following the hyperlinks listed below.
