Recovery Phase of Dengue

Recovery depends on the severity of the illness and any treatments prescribed in the febrile and critical phases. Onset of the recovery phase can be identified by the following:  

• Patient improvement
• Gradual reabsorption of extravasated fluid (such as from plasma leakage) over 48–72 hours
• Increased diuresis (patient might wet bed) 
• Hemodynamic status stabilizes
• Patient can temporarily become bradycardic (but hemodynamically stable)
