Dr. Koch is currently Director of Clinical Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Toxicology, and Point-of-Care Testing at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Experience
In addition to his clinical appointments, Dr. Koch is also a Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine. He mentors and trains medical technologists, clinical chemistry fellows, and pathology residents. He lectures medical students at Emory University on the topic of laboratory medicine.
Dr. Koch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. He is also a Past-President of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). He recently finished a term as the AACC’s Chair of the Policy and External Affairs Core Committee. Dr. Koch is involved in numerous institutional and professional committees and organizations. As a prolific lecturer, he earned recognition as an outstanding speaker from AACC.
