Champaign County pre-event CASPER

Type: Preparedness

Location: Champaign County

Purpose: Champaign County Pre-Event CASPER was conducted to assess the local capacity to respond to a disaster and where gaps are within the community. The CASPER provided awareness to decision makers at the Champaign Health District, Champaign County Emergency Management Agency, and Mercy Memorial Hospital in Urbana. It helped these agencies identify immediate needs in the community, provided estimates on the scope and magnitude of the needs, and helped establish priorities.

Event: HAB (toxic water)

Location: Lucas County (do not use order)

Purpose: Response to recent contamination of drinking water
