In the MMWR Summary of Notifiable Diseases --- United States,
2001, published May 2, 2003, errors occurred in the
death counts for hepatitis A, B, and C, congenital rubella syndrome, botulism, and cholera in Table 12 on page 98. The corrected table is provided below. Several diseases (i.e.,
Chlamydia trachomatis genital infections, cryptosporidiosis, cyclosporiasis,
human granulocytic ehrlichiosis, human monocytic ehrlichiosis,
Escherichia coli infections, legionellosis, and Lyme disease) are excluded from the revised table because no specific International Classification of Diseases, Ninth
Revision codes represent those diseases, and therefore no corresponding death counts are available.
