2007 NAIAW Tools and Presentations from CAIC

The California Adult Immunization Coalition (CAIC) promotes this national observance by developing and adopting materials and resources that immunization stakeholders can use and distribute.

The 2007 CAIC NAIAW Planning Committee (details below) has screened and collected tools that you can use to promote awareness of adult immunizations during NAIAW 2007. The committee has also developed a series of customizable tools, including:

  • Two fully scripted and CME ready slide presentations (exit) that provide a comprehensive review of adult immunization.
  • A variety of tools (exit) for use with different audiences.
  • Customizable media tools (exit), including adaptable Templates for Opinion/Editorial submissions, Media Talking Points, and Press Releases.
  • A set of materials local stakeholders can use to promote Healthcare Worker vaccination (exit).
  • A list of additional resources (exit) available on the web.

To promote awareness across California, the Planning Committee has released its Press Release to major English and Spanish-language media outlets – though we encourage you to use the enclosed media tools to contact media outlets near you. Getting the message out multiple times can encourage media coverage and the media may be more inclined to respond when they hear from you, a trusted local source.

To support our work, please cite CAIC as a supporter of your adult immunization efforts. We encourage you to use our logo to co-brand your NAIAW materials but if you do so, we ask that you let us know how you are using it, by completing the attached Logo Agreement Form Microsoft Word file. Share your feedback on our campaign materials for chance to win a $100 gift certificate! To improve our efforts to promote NAIAW, please take a few moments to complete an online evaluation survey (exit) or participate in a conference call . To show our thanks, you’ll be entered in a raffle to win one of four $100 gift certificates to the University of California, San Francisco Bookstore (online or in-store purchases are allowed).

CAIC would like to acknowledge the individuals and organizations that supported our NAIAW Planning efforts through their work on the Planning Committee Adobe Acrobat print-friendly PDF file. (exit) (.pdf 30 KB) (1 page). We would also like to extend thanks to the California Distance Learning Health Network for their donation of the printing, production, and distribution of our NAIAW Campaign promotional postcard.

We thank you for celebrating NAIAW 2007. Together, we can improve adult immunization rates to reduce absences at work, school, and social events; save healthcare funds; and most importantly, save lives.
