Project Scope
- Workshop that brings together respirator manufacturers, researchers (anthropometrics, materials, industrial hygiene, etc) , government policy experts, and users to discuss the research needs and challenges associated with developing an FFR with enhanced fitting characteristics
- Final report from the workshop and recommendations for research that would improve the fitting characteristics of FFR
Milestones
- Q1 Conduct workshop
- Q2 Receive draft final report from Minnesota
- Q3 Accept final report from contractor
|
Outputs
- Workshop on Research needed to achieve a “No-fit-test” filtering-facepiece respirator
- Final report describing the current state of the art, and recommended research priorities
Outcomes
- This information is used by manufacturers to develop better fitting respirators
- Research organizations (NPPTL, OEP, etc) will use this information to prioritize research needs
