Ergonomic Interventions in the Building, Repair, and Dismantling of Ships

Easy Fixes: Welding Leads on Pulleys

Hazard: Wire welding unit electric cable often clutters the walking surfaces in sub-assembly areas becoming tripping hazards.

Solution: By placing welding unit electric cable over pulleys in a centralized location, one keeps the walkways clear and reduces the stresses associated with pulling the cable (see photos). The cable coils neatly into the recycled drums.
