Easy Fixes: Knee Pads

Hazard: Due in part to constant kneeling on metal or other hard surfaces, there is a high percentage of lower extremity injuries in shipyards.

Solution: The worker below has improvised a knee pad by wrapping together some corrugated cardboard (see photo). Padded kneepads provide cushioning as well as protection for workers.
