In the state of Vermont, there are about 89,000
adults 18 and over who experience disability, representing 19.1% of the
population. 19.8% or 48,000 are women, and 18.3% or 41,000 are men.

report disability; for those age 45-64, the rate increases to 22.8%, and those
65 and over, 31.4% report disability.

report excellent or very good health, while 34.6% of people with disabilities
report excellent or very good health. 24.3% of people without disability report
good health, compared to 31.7% of people with disabilities, and 5.2% of people

disability.

report smoking, compared 29.1% or people with disabilities. Obesity 16.1% of
people without disabilities report obesity, compared to 27.0% people with

physical inactivity compared to 16.8% or people with disabilities.

have gotten a flu immunization in the past year, compared to 37.7% or people
with disability. Pneumonia (ever). 19.8% of people without disability have ever
received a pneumonia shot, compared to 30.0% of people with disability.
Figure 4c. Health Coverage-Adults Under Age 65. Among people aged 18 to 44,
84.9% of those without disability have health care coverage compared to 85.3% of
those with disability. Among those aged 45 to 64, 91.2% of those without a
disability have health care coverage, compared to 91.3% of those with a
disability.

44, 78.6% of people without disability have a continuous health care provider,
compared to 84.0% for those with a disability. For those aged 45-64, 90.5% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
93.7% of those with a disability, and for those aged 65 and older, 94.7% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
97.4% of those with a disability.
