Evaluation of the Colorectal Cancer Screening Demonstration Program
An in-depth evaluation of the colorectal cancer screening demonstration program (CRCSDP) is being conducted to inform current program implementation and support decision making about future colorectal cancer screening efforts. The evaluation includes three methods—
- A longitudinal, multiple case study (PDF-20KB) conducted over the course of the three-year demonstration project to understand and describe program implementation better.
- A description of the economic analyses (PDF-25KB) to assess costs associated with the CRCSDP.
- The collection and analysis of client-level screening and diagnostic data (PDF-3MB) for program monitoring and to measure program outcomes.
The evaluation is being conducted for two distinct time periods: program start-up and program implementation. Program start-up represents the time period between initial funding and the initiation of screening activities. Program implementation represents the time when colorectal cancer screening is provided.
